J.L. Blumenthal's passing at such a young age was a tragedy. So many of his classmates looked up to him and Mourned the loss of their leader and best friend. He was so talented in so many ways. A recognized athlete selected for the Morningside Bulldogs, I attended many of those games. He bravely served his country as a Green Beret with one of his besties and my good friend, Stuart Stephen. And so many of us were excitedly awaiting the wedding to another bestie of JL and his fiancée, Claire Briskin. Rest in peace JL and please be there with us in spirit at the Allderdice 40th, Central Boy!
J.L. was my best friend, it was devastating, so much time has passed, but I still think of him often. What could have been, life is so fucking crazy, we got to make the most of it, and don't take it for granted, none of us is guaranted tomorrow.
